Here’s How I Honestly Rated the Kwilt Photo Editor

I’ll admit it – I’m not a “real” photographer, more like a self-proclaimed iPhone photographer. I’m not a pro, but I love snapping shots of my life and the world around me. It goes without saying that along with taking pictures, I also love editing them. I typically edit photos with third-party apps that I download on my phone and am always on the lookout for new easy, fun apps to play with.

Fun fact: you can edit your pictures right in the Kwilt mobile app. With this being said, I played around with some of the features (there’s a ton!) and took some screenshots to show exactly how I edited my picture and how you can edit yours, too.

First, I scrolled through my Kwilt mosaic and chose this picture to play with.

Once I chose my photo, I tapped the “Upload” icon and then “Edit”. This will bring you to all of the editing options. (Ps. Once you’ve finished editing your picture, you can then tap “Order Prints” to then order prints, phone cases, mugs, and more with your picture on them!)

You’ll then be able to scroll through editing features below your picture. These features include colour options, resizing, drawing, adding text, and more. My personal favourite features are the photo editing options like blemish removal, teeth whitening, red eye removal, and more. I’m thanking the Kwilt in advance for my future selfies.

For this picture I started by tapping the “Enhance” feature and from there I went through the options and decided to apply the “Portrait” photo filter. (Live your life, break the rules! Even if it’s as simple as applying a portrait filter on a scenery shot.)

Once I was happy with the filter I then played around with the “Draw” and “Text” features. This feature reminds me similar features on Instagram Stories or Snapchat. There are a few different font options to choose from and many colours too! I will say though if you have big fingers the Draw feature is a little tricky. If you make a mistake you have to use the eraser tool to fix it, and if you’re not careful you may accidentally erase more than what you wanted to!

Ta-da! Here is my final photo. With so many photo editing options to choose from, unique in-app features like ordering prints and photo touch-ups, I’d have to rate this app a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. I will 100% continue to use this to edit all of my pictures, and my only issue was the eraser tool, which can easily be avoided by taking your time while drawing/erasing!
